A seismic upgrade, and a fresh way of working.

As part of a major seismic upgrade to the Monro Building, DOC decided that if the walls were coming down anyway, the office culture might as well come with them. Out went the flexible workspaces and collaborative breakouts — in went a layout built for how modern teams actually work.

Out with the silos, literally and figuratively. The new open-plan layout gets business units talking across the floor instead of past each other through a wall. Working closely with the DOC Marketing Team, we landed on a colour palette pulled from the local landscape, backed up by locally sourced materials — because nothing says "conservation department" quite like reclaimed timber.
